VISITING ENGLISH FOLDSINGER BRENDA NICHOLS
SANG HER ORIGINAL SONG, "RIDE THE RAINBOW"

Judi (played by Judi Reeve), is Ted's girlfriend's younger sister, sent with a note saying that she knows Ted spent the night with Elaine and she's through with him!

"You're gonna put me in a movie?" Brenda Nichols, a visiting English folksinger, was discovered at The Loft, a coffeehouse on Charles Street, in Boston's Back Bay.

Paul Holzwarth checks the exposure in the tiny coffee-house. Space normally reserved for patrons, had to be cleared to make room for the Pike Productions crew.

That's Jim Pike, center, directing the crowd. If you look closely, you can see Ken MacAskill (upper left) shooting handheld (from Brenda Nichols' point of view).

Here's a reverse, low-angle shot of Brenda singing her song,"Ride the Rainbow," from an audience point of view. Considering how many times she had to sing her song for all the different camera angles, Brenda obviously held up well!
Travis' older brother, James M. Pike at the Loft. Travis wasn't there, and didn't know his brother was until he saw this production still on a contact sheet he inherited from his father's estate. "Good night, sweet prince, and flights of angels sing thee to thy rest."
