On "The Montclairs set" at Pike Productions. The Battle of the Bands live footage and sound weren't good enough, so the band had to recreate their performance for the movie.

The Montclairs chat about their trophies, the movie deal, and speculate on just what wonders their futures may hold in store.
This scene, with the Montclairs sharing a table in a Pizza Parlor in 1966, was enough to keep the movie from being widely distributed in the American South. To his credit, James A. Pike refused to cut it.
Don't know what they were really saying in this scene, but had it been shot subsequent to the film's release, the pizza cook might well have been saying, "Whaddaya mean, they won't play the picture?
